The six stages of naptime

We’ve all heard of the seven stages of grieving. I propose the six stages of naptime:

1. resistance (“I don’t WANT to nap!”)

2. submission

3. Euphoria (playing in the crib, singing, taking down the changing pad)

4. Subtle manipulation (“I want milk!”)

5. Crying

6. Slumber

On another note, looks like my dissertation defense will be April 23, probably at 3:30. Yeah- I’m freaking out just a little.
