As a parent, there are two things I have learned to be true. First, toddlers and preschoolers must touch everything. Second, babies must put everything in their mouth. These maxims are not mutually exclusive, especially when the older sibling imitates the younger.
Along those lines, Katie overheard me today telling Zuzu, “No no, Zuzu, not in your mouth.”
Katie replied to me, “She’s saying, ‘Well, I just have to eat the basket.”
